I live in Canada and we do see temperatures as low as -35'C without any windchill.
I have a 2024 Outlander PHEV GT that uses a Heat Pump which warms very little at -14'C and shuts off totally at -15'C.
By the time that the heat from the ICE kicks it, the Cab gets very cold.
We are all very surprised that Mitsubishi decided not to use a Battery Heater in the Battery Pack but why did they also decide not to install a PTC Cab Heater.
I have been searching online for the type of PTC Heater that used to be used on the 2022 and prior models and saw a few photos and the top of the device looks like it has fins, similar to a large Heat Sink.
I did find a device similar to this on the left side of the Driver's seat, on the floor surrounded by the floor carpet and the Fins can clearly be seen.
I have touched these fins with my fingers when Cab was being heated by the Heat Pump when it shuts off at -15'C and when Cab was heating via the ICE coolant heating. And only felt luke warm to the touch.
I will post a photo of the device I found on the floor of my car just to the left of the Driver Seat.

Can you please look into this or if someone else knows, please offer your opinion.
Thank you
