I'm looking for a new car to launch my boat from the beach.
The 4wd is obviously very important, how would the Phev cope with that. ?
I'm not planning to drive on soft sand very much .... it will be mostly wet compacted sand and gravel beach and also down concrete slipways.
The usual way of reversing the car until the wheels are just slightly in the water and then rolling the boat off the trailer.
The beaches i use are a fairly shallow gradient so it won't be an off road test by any means.
I just want to be confident i can get down and back again.
I carry recovery boards and a longer draw bar for the trailer if needed.
The boat , trailer and outboard are all light, i would say less than 300kg's in total.
My budget is about £8000 so probably a 2016 model.
Any advice is really welcome. Thanks
