sympathy needed: delayed delivery, rear motor malfunction

I was due to pick up my grey gx4h yesterday evening. Got a late call from the dealer, problems in the workshop when fitting the tow bar. Error code that implied a faulty rear motor. Common error? Bad luck? A bit unclear if they could fix it before the Christmas holiday. :?

Hate to say this but I'd be inclined not to accept that car. A major repair like that before you've even taken delivery does not bode well IMHO.

Not necessarily a major repair - could just be a wiring fault created when fitting the towbar or a dodgy sensor.

New information, faulty control box for the rear motor. 5 days freight from some distant central storage unit. Not happy.
