You can have service provided anywhere, just keep the receipts. I verified this with my dealer yesterday when they did my first service...with tax $165. Oil and filter and check all the items...no tire rotation as I only have 4500KM on them. They told me the next service would be $185...so I'm looking at about $400 a years for service. I can live with that so I go to the dealer for now.
I'm not sure anyone else can do the battery smoothing procedure that is included in the PEEV 3 service. Changing oil and filters if OK but I'm not letting just anyone restructure my battery pack while its on warranty.

$250 is cheap. A PHEV 3 service in BC just cost me $419. That includes oil and filters and check everything over as well. I assume that if you refuse the service it might affect the 10year/160,000 km battery warranty.
I used to go to dealer for oil change services for $55 3 or 4 years ago not now they wanted $110 just for oil change. Thanks to the inflation. My local mechanic charged me $30 labor with my own oil & filters from Amazon for another $35.

I know most people go to dealer services because they think dealer will void the warranty if they did the services somewhere else. It really depends on how much trust you can rely on the mechanic, dealer or local one. I went to the dealer for oil change services till 40 -50k miles. The dealer never told me that the front CV boot was leaking & should be covered under warranty. Guess what, when I had my suspension services at my local mechanic (covered under my 100k extended warranty purchased from the dealer), he noticed the leakage at one of the front CV boot & told me to get the dealer fixed it under warranty. Indeed the dealer had to order that $1000 front axle with the CV boot on the passenger side & changed it under warranty. All these years dealer didn't bother to fix it in oil change services.

Interesting they missed it because checking axles and suspension is on my service order checklist. Did you not get work orders from the dealer showing all the items checked? If you did I would show them and ask how that could be checked off if leaking. Dealer Mechanic needs a slap.

Even more interesting when I brought it to the dealer's attention. the service manager said, "Oh it is only leaking a bit but I insisted so they got to fix it under warranty.
