Hi all.
I hate needing to come to the forums with a new vehicle.... but the other day, I got a CEL and it was a p0d22 code. I did a quick search, and didn't see any Mitsu's reporting this issue, but the Chevy volt crowd saw it as a code they could almost ignore. SO..... I cleared it, and went on my way. FYI.... This was charging with the factory charger, at the local airport. Strangely enough... I noticed it not charging (White light) when going to get some lunch, and when I got back, I plugged it in, and it started charging. The code has to do with the output of the on board charger. I thought maybe the plug voltage sagged, and caused it.
2 days later, It came back.... but this time when I got home, I got a red light flashing at me when I plugged it in to charge. Since it was late, and cold, I cleared it again, and it started charging.
Now.... tonight, I got into the SUV and I noticed the CEL, and when I got home, it started to charge.... then stopped 20 min later. From my living room.... I simply unlocked the doors.... gave it a minute, and locked them from my key fob. It started charging.... and it's been fine since. (almost a full charge now)
Since I'm not seeing anyone else with this issue.... I'm guessing I just got a bad on-board charger.
Any input on this would be helpful. Needless to say.... since it's only a month old... I'll be taking a drive down to the dealer tomorrow to see what they have to say. I would point my finger at my inexpensive level 2 charger.... but the first time this happened.... it was on the OEM charger.
