I have ACC, and it has done some pretty sharp braking when needed. It is different from the paddle-regen and (possibly) standard CC in that it shows its brake lights when slowing down.

Interesting - I had assumed that the ACC was just an extra set of sensors and some extra programming sitting on top of the standard CC!

No. It is on the same sensor as the FCM.
