Hello. I have a 2016 Outlander hybrid. Recently I got the red charging cable/red battery light and yellow charge cable connected light on the dashboard. The car first shows the red charging cable light... then you can drive for a bit, but when you hit the brakes or use the gear, the car stalls and the yellow Charge Cable connected light comes up on the dashboard. (Pictures included in post). The car then will not drive any further. You can wait 3-5 minutes and it starts again, but then I get the same lights within a short period and the same thing happens again.
The repair shop fixed one "relay" connected to the charging port and thought that would fix the problem, but it stalled again after a few kilometers. They are going to change the other relay tomorrow. But I just wanted to hear if anyone knows about this particular problem. I just had the 8 year/150.000 km service without any problems. I also changed the 12v battery after the first failure/stall and the car drove for a few days before it stalled again.
The car just shuts down and all the lights come up on the dashboard. The tow truck man thought it could be a faulty 12v battery, that's why I got a new one. But it happened again just a few days later.
Thank you for any input or help, in case the repair shop should get stuck.
Henry
