Hello Outlander Owners--I now have my Outlander 2020 PHEV for about 2 months--just love it--I read a lot on this forum about the pro's and con's regarding towbars-electric kits for towbars and more.
I researched the market looking for the best towbar and electric kit and came up with so many contradictions --sufficient to leave me worried about the electrical performance of the vehicles lighting including indicators etc . I contacted Rameder, they could not give me a definitive reccommendation because my VIN had less than 17 characters/digits Blaa!!. So I called an old supplier of towbars here in Ireland , McCabes ( TOWFIT) in Rathdowney, Co.Laois, Ireland ( who manafacture their own products) asked then about the availability and all the |HooHa about the electrices, bumper cutting etc.--Nonsensed was their response--take your vehicle down here--allow about 2 hours and 550 Euro & job done , approved and garanteed. Well I did just that and I am more than happy with the result. Perfect job, on time, no cutting of the rear bumper -electrics as before. What is all this nonsense I read about --makes me wonder??? . I'll be buying a 2024 model a soon as I can get my hands on one --just for the range of improvements. Range is superb already, economy excellent, comfort top class. Outstanding vehicle.
