TomTom GPS Issues

Hello. New to the forum.
Just picked up a used 2023 Outlander PHEV and I’m running into some trouble with the built-in TomTom GPS. It’s not calling out street names, and the camera alerts are totally MIA. Anyone else dealt with this?

Also, thinking about switching to Apple CarPlay for nav - worth it, or nah? Let me know your thoughts!

I use TomTom only because I don't want to hear any nav sounds, and now you come telling me you want to hear sounds from it, haha! That's funny! I haven't tried it, but considering CarPlay doesn't need a subscription, it might be a choice. But not for me.
