I FINALLY found information about idle charging fuel use.

for those who don't want to watch the video, its 2.58KWh/L

numbers should be identical for the 2024. i have no idea what the 2025 will be.



its insanity that MMC doesn't just tell us this, the numbers aren't even bad, "literally cheaper than using fast-chargers" would be a great selling point.

2025 numbers should be identical as very little has changed between the 2023 to 2025 Vehicles
 
Findings from the same video above:

Time to recharge the 20kwh battery from empty to 80% : 94 minutes
Fuel burn during this time: 6.2 liters
Fuel burn rate for recharging ( vehicule stationnary) : 6.2/94*60 = 3.96 liters per hour
range achievable with this recharge: 80% x 61 km = 49 km
liters per 100 km used for this recharge: 6.2 / 49 *100 = 12.6 liters per 100 km

Conclusion:

I observed so far My 2025 Outlander burns 10.6 liters par 100 km when running exclusively on gas. This means it is not worth using the recharge mode , which burns 12.6 liters for 100 km of range.
 
So when cruising down the highway at 100 kph how much incremental fuel would be burned? Is there formula to estimate L/ 100 KM fuel economy while charging on flat terrain? Surely there is some economy to traveling distance while the engine is charging? You are correct, depending on fuel cost, this is cheaper than using public 'Fast' chargers and you don't need to wait to charge.
