Hi,there. We are thinking of buying a 2019 Outlander here in Portugal. We are looking at 2. The first one is the 2.0 petrol amnd the second one is the 2.4 PHEV. However neitherof them have an integrated satnav. I do not want to use andriod auto and consume data! Can to get a satnav system , presumably TOM TOM, retro fitted into the in dash screen.

For an android phone you can use Tomtom go and download the maps into the phone storage so it isn't using data other than for traffic if you want that. Works well, tho having switched to CoPilot some years ago I do find Tomtom less good. Sadly they haven't/aren't releasing a version that supports android auto so I switched back to Tomtom for the PHEV.

There aren't that many Android SatNav apps out there that can Locally store map inrormation AND are Android Auto compatible.
My prefered choice is OsmAnd+,

I was looking for a product that
1: didn't require a data connexion
2: allows the user to fix the North at the top of the screen if he wishes. so you don't get the screen doing a pirouette each time you go round a corner.

Try the free version on a phone pefore decifing to purchase the "+" version.
The presentation may not be to everyone's taste.

Pity though, the header unit has a GPS receiver which works, my model, like yours doesn't have GPS software installed to use it.
