Hello, new to the forum. Not sure where to post this so I've posted it here and in Batteries. Apologise for the duplicating.

I wish to place my 2024 Outlander PHEV in storage in a lowly heated garage (5 deg C) for 4 months:
1. What precautions should I take?
2. How should I leave the car wrt drive battery charge level?
3. How about the aux 12V battery (I'm thinking of connecting a battery maintainer to it switched on once every 7 days for an hour or so)?
4. What about the brakes? In park they are engaged and I worry about them rusting/seizing onto the discs. Can I leave the car in neutral?
5. What about tires and suspension? Should I jack the car up off the floor?
6. Any other suggestions?

Thanks.

The '24 will charge the 12v battery every day around 2pm for as long as there is power in the main drive battery. If it were me, I'd make sure there was a good charge in the main battery and be happy.

Just leave the car in park.

I think you may be over-thinking/over-worrying about all this. Remember, the cars are shipped all around the world on slow cargo ships :)

I left mine outside for 6 months. When I returned, the aux battery was flat, even though the main battery was still above 50%.
I managed to get the aux re-charged (not easy at the time) and all seems fine after that.
I suspect the way that the (UK) alam was wired was the cause.
Putting the aux on occasional charge should avoid that.
I'd leave the main battery at around 75%.
