New to the 2023 Outlander PHEV world and just did a test to see what kind of electric range I could get on a full charge. Living in flat, sunny Florida helped, but I was pleasantly surprised by the results!

After a full charge, I managed a solid 49 miles in EV mode! My drive included 18 miles at around 32-54 mph on suburban roads and 31 miles on the interstate at 60-65 mph. I kept the A/C running at 77°F, and it was just me in the car, no extra passengers or cargo. I was expecting closer to the EPA range, but this actually went beyond by about 6 miles, which was nice.

For anyone else with a 2023 model, are you getting similar numbers? And does the range change a lot depending on driving style or conditions? Super happy with the results so far but curious if this is typical!

Hi Kyo

Welcome to our Forum.

It appears that 2023, 2024 and possibly the 2025 are getting similar values of range when driven with moderate acceleration.

I picked up my 2024 PHEV on Apr 8th 2024 found that when Temperatures were 25/30'C (75/86'F) I was getting 95/100kms (56/60mi) per Charge in EV only.

As the temperatures started to drop to around 20'C (18'F) I started getting a lower range of 85/95 kms

Now that the temperature is averaging around 12'C (46'F) and using the heater about 10% of the time, I am now getting a range of 75/85 kms.

Since I live in Canada, around the 49th Parallel we will be getting temperatures lower than -35'C (-25'F) and I do expect that my range may drop to under 50 kms (30 miles) as the Heater will need to run continuesly before the ICE kicks in.

I do have some testing to do this coming Winter.

I just hope my car will start when the Battery temperature drops to below -25'C

This, you will not need to worry about since you have great weather there, all year round.

Again, Welcome to our Forum.

My experiences with the same car, same year, are exactly the same.
Quite impressed, considering when the info said I would get 61 kms, I was expecting about 50 kms.
It was very understated. Nice.

100% city driving.

30% of drive, the Heater was on and set to 20'C and Seat Heat on.

Would have gotten 71 km on EV at this temperature.

ICE kicked in for about 2 minutes because I placed Regen in B3 by mistake as pedaling up. Had to pull over to restart and force into EV Mode.

ICE did not turn on when Heater was turned on.

Used about 17kWh to Charge Battery to full from 2 1/2 bars remaining.
I still had 8 kms of Range remaining in Battery
