The angle of acceptance of modern solar panels is far more than it used to be. I have 20 500 Wp panels orientated east-west in our UK-like climate and latitude. They produce about 9000 kWh/year.AndyInOz said:I'll be very interested to see how much power you gain from your solar panels.
For maximum output, the panel needs to be perpendicular to the sun.
This is why solar panels are ideally mounted on rooves or frames set to the same angle as the latitude of the the location where the panels are installed.
Mine are at 35 degrees for example.
My 1.5 kilowatts of panels, set to the optimum angle, generate, on average, 5kWh per day.
