totally loving our new outlander, very comfortable and spacious, still discovering how everything works, even though I read the manual cover-to-cover, there's a lot to remember.

My only 3 gripes at the minute are:
1. The English in the manual is poor, and some of the notifications on MMCS are equally poor. I'd have expected such large company to check their English rather than sounding like a cheap Chinese toy manufacturer
2. The UX (user experience) developer for MMCS needs a bullet to the head, or, being Japanese, we'll allow them a ritual suicide.
3. Following the advice of using the heated seat and steering wheel to keep warm instead of the blowers left me with frozen feet and upper body. Maybe we should have a plug in heated body suit?

Gotta say, if any of my team produced a system this unintuitive, I'd be having some serious words! I'm sure there's some pattern or consistency to it... somewhere...

Other than this, bloody loving it! Even better once our home charger is installed

IIRC the original advice came from an Inuit member  . I too have never seen the sense. Even in the mild winters in temperate countries like the UK and the Netherlands the hassle is not worth the savings IMHO, especially if one preheats the car and leaves it plugged in for fifteen minutes after preheating. The same for air-conditioning in summer.

The MMCS UI is indeed somewhat convoluted. Once you know your way around, which will take some time, it is fine though.

I have seen far worse translations for quite expensive products' manuals. At least this one is mostly comprehensible ;).
