Hi.

First time poster. Long time lurker.

I have an LED strip hood light. It has one red positive wire and one earth black wire. The instructions to fit are very basic and say to connect the red wire to the daylight running lights 10a fuse. When I do this, the LED strip stays lighting whether the ignition is on or off.

I'm looking for a 10a fuse that turns off with the ignition as I don't want battery drain. Preferably under the hood in the main or sub fuse box. Is also like to know the best way to connect the wire to the fuse.

If anyone can help it would be very much appreciated.

Thanks a million.

I have the same issue. Bought the light but havent connected as I couldnt find a nice and easy way to do this.
Found below video on one of the Facebook groups.
Hope it helps.

Can't see anything on that video my man. Saying privacy setting won't allow it or something.

During the inspection of the engine bay fuse box in my 2023 PHEV, I could not find a 10 amp fuse that shuts off when the engine is turned off.

In my opinion, the solution is to extend the positive wire through the driver's door and access the fuse relay through the side panel.

I'll test all the fuses tomorrow and I'll advise.

Any chance they meant connect it to the DRLs power connection?

I just checked the front fuse box, and all the fuses are on even when the car is turned off. Unfortunately, I’ll have to tap a fuse inside the cabin and extend it to the engine bay.
