I'm wondering if we could get a list going of shops who are knowledgeable about plug-in hybrids, including any personal experience servicing your Outlander PHEV at Toyota or Hyundai, the manufacturers who have sold phevs the longest outside of Mitsubishi. In order to be useful, the list should be comprised of independent shops with hybrid knowledge, not just dealerships. Alternatively, general rumoring about what kind of experience to look for in assessing expertise is also helpful.
To start, in my experience of 1.5 years of ownership, the best technicians so far were at a foreign car specialist garage ($$$$) with enough business to actually have a former Toyota mechanic of 8 years on staff.
