You can replace the main battery in these without draining the bank?
A battery replacement costs 16% the cost of a new vehicle. It will probably give me an extra 30-50% life in the vehicle. I will (just) save the battery cost in petrol and electricity in 120kkm.
It is not cheap, but it if you do not especially value a new vehicle, it is almost certainly well cheaper than replacing with a low mileage one or running the battery to failure and scrapping the car.
If you believe in "walking the walk", then a refurb is way better for the environment.

Did anyone ever change the front & rear transfer gear oil for the PHEV? Are you assuming they are still red & clean & may last till 20 years as the manual claimed. My mechanic only checks for leakage & didn't change it out.

2018 PHEV GT at 95k miles with about 10-12 EV miles when fully charged overnight. Oil change every 75k miles & replace air & cabin filters every 15k miles per US manual. Front passenger side CV boot & axle replaced by Dealer warranty. Front suspension replaced by extended warranty services. Rear drive mount gasket replaced by dealer warranty. Front dust covers for suspension replaced by my own expense (wear & tear). 4 wheel brake pads replacement. Replace 4 spark plugs myself around 60K miles. Other than that, it is still driving like new.
I meant oil change every 7500 miles!

You have to change regularly all gearing fluids! On 30k or 60k, according your drive style and environment!
The same as regular manual gears.
