Hi, I've been reading here for a few weeks so probably time to introduce myself. I recently bought a 2018 PHEV Outlander with 54,000 miles on it... battery at 72% and otherwise working well. So far I am very impressed with it, and how well it effectively does with fuel management. We have a solar system so recharging when needed really helps. I live in the Sacramento, CA area.

I am no stranger to difficult-road driving having owned Isuzus over the years, and my old Trooper can still go where few other vehicles can (it has a suspension lift, bigger tires, winch, etc.). But I see the Outlander as a more practical vehicle for more mild adventures and much better for long road trips and around town driving as well. So that being said I plan to put a mild lift kit on the Outlander, and go a size larger on the tires to 255-60-R18 all-terrain type so the clearance is about 9 inches. I am interested in any other modifications anyone else may have done to protect the underside, especially the low-hanging battery coolant hoses. I don't mind doing some of the fab work for such things myself.

But I'll post a few specific questions under different subject titles.

Sigh....any of that is illegal in Australia. I have a decent Bullbar and just fitted Yoko Geolander 235/55/18 which corrects the speedo exactly. I would love a 20mm lift kit.

Couldn't get Tyrepower to fit those as it was more than 5mm radial diameter. Looking at various youtube vids to seems you could put tractor tyres on in California and no one would care.
