So I think this on my old battery is a date stamp which would suggest my Yuasa S46B24LS is the original given my 2015 reg date - not bad that the AGM lasted 10 years.

If you're in the UK, Arnold Clark doing an OEM replacement Yuasa battery for under £160 which is the cheapest I've seen

I did fit the battery clamps after this photo almost forgot about them 🤣

My 2014 had the original 12V Aux Battery.
Until I changed it last year, still working, after reading here how vital it is to starting the car.

Swapped out my 2015 battery last week. But was coming out +200 euro to find a matching battery with the oversized vent.
With some research I found for €120 the yuasa HSB053 is identical except the vent. I was able to modify the original vent connector with a pair of toothed pliers. Pairing down the connector till it press fit tightly.

As I understand is the AGM has nothing to do with the chemistry of the battery, but dictates that it's suitable for auto start/stop engine applications. Maybe I'm wrong.

Regardless the yuasa HSB053 is listed in Halfords AGM battery lineup. Not that I trust them but I felt I could take it as sufficient.

Most important for batteries within the cabin is that they are properly vented. Which also the HSB053 comes with dual vent. Just be sure to add a plug to the unused vent.

Edit: your right! AGM is not then the star stop suitability of the battery. Seems I want to look at an alternative. Humm. Will update my post.
