Hi all,
It took me multiple hours and days to solve this one. I hope it will help some of you (let me know if it did)
I recently had an issue where audio wasn’t working via Bluetooth on my car radio. My phone (Pixel 8 Pro) connected just fine, but no audio was coming through. After some troubleshooting, I discovered the solution:
On the Pixel 8 Pro, under Bluetooth settings, there’s an additional option where you can specify the type of device your phone is connected to (via Bluetooth). Make sure to set this to “Auto.” This disables the spatial audio feature, which was causing the issue. Once I made this change, my phone connected with the car audio system perfectly.
To adjust this setting:
1. Connect your phone to the car via Bluetooth.
2. On your phone, go to Bluetooth settings and tap the gear icon next to the connection.
3. Change the device type setting to “Auto.”
The problem was caused by “Spatial Audio,” so disabling it solved everything!
