Should I be worried about the short driver visibility?

No better way to judge that, than to get them to sit in a car before you buy it. Note that the steering wheel is height adjustable. In my case, I have to use it at the highest position, otherwise it obscures the instruments*, but a smaller person would probably appreciate having it lower down...

Scheduled remote morning defrost starts 1 hour later than set

Wild guess here... Some systems store time as an absolute value (typically a time in the GMT time zone) that is not affected by changing something else to DST or not. (I seem to remember people having a lot of trouble with Outlook meetings because of this) It's possible that deleting the...

What Settings for Pure EV with No ICE Assist

This is how my 2014 model behaves too. It has something to do with the temperature difference between the target and the current temp in the vehicle. (I think) It's very common for my engine to fire up if I touch the 'Auto' button to start the air conditioning.

Replace 2018 Outlander PHEV Smart Key

IIRC to open the rear door with the keyfob, you have to press the button twice within a second or so...

    Front wipers stopped working?

Hopefully they've actually traced the connection path, and actually eliminated corrosion or rodent damage before firing the 'parts cannon'.

What Settings for Pure EV with No ICE Assist

There is no setting that stops the car from working as a hybrid. The engine will come on periodically if you select Save, or Charge, or if you run the battery down to the point where the car cannot continue to drive without adding charge. Other things that will cause the engine to turn on...

    Adaptive speed reads offramp signs

From what other members have posted, I think it is getting the speeds from the map, rather than 'seeing' speed signs. It can be turned on and off through the 'Navi' menus IIRC. (Note that I don't have this feature on my car, so can't check the details for you.)

    Blown plug on granny charger

Probably not applicable in your case, but just in case: Remember: Do not ever hang the charger box from the electrical cable. The box has holes in the frame, to allow a suitable 'hanging cord' to be used for that purpose.

    Charging adapter

Sorry mate, I think you may have posted this on the wrong forum. Members here have the Outlander PHEV.

    Idiot guide

This is why it is recommended to have charge in the battery before attempting steep hills. Battery plus engine generation provide the maximum 120 kW to the motors.

    Drive-in movie theatre - recommendation?

When you say "The only way to have the car be dark", are you referring to instrument lights, or headlights? If it is the instrument panel, there is a small switch, that can dim the panel lights. (Small stalk at the base of one of the main gauges, behind the steering wheel.) If it is the...

    Coming Back?

Save maintains the present state of charge (more or less), reserving it for you when you need it later. If you are at 50% save will keep boosting the drive battery back to 50% after it drops a percentage below that. Typically it is used if you are planning for hill climbs, or an all electric...

    2013 model outlander phev

My understanding is that batteries 'wear' down to about 80% fairly quickly, but after that, degradation is relatively slow. Being a hybrid, you get most of the advantages, even if the drive battery only holds a small charge. The original Prius only had a 1.8 kWh battery when it was first...

    2013 model outlander phev

On the other hand, my car has been trouble free for ten years, so, I'd suggest that you don't rely on one person's anxiety.

    Coming Back?

Mine appears to be still going strong. We're coming out of winter at the moment, I'll try to remember to grab a shot of the range on the guess-ometer, the next time I take the car out.

    Maximum EV Range

I have timers set up in the car, so that it starts charging at 2 am. I originally set it up that way, so that I'd have maximum charge available in the morning, when I set off to work.

    Display Screen Problems

Courtesy of Google translate: I have been having problems with part of the display for two weeks. I went to the service center and they asked to replace it, but I have to wait about 6 months. The car is from 2020, so they have problems with the display after 4 years

Rattling Noise Inside Rear of PHEV – Need Advice

You have reminded me, I want to inspect my rear panels with a snake camera, because my tool kit looks like it may be missing items, and I can imagine them having fallen inside the panel.
