I listed it in many of my posts here and absolutely all of the pertinent posts.
Oh, and I'm 69 years old, wife and three daughters, retired, part-time audiophile,
Enjoy peaceful walks in the park, and riding motorcycles. 😀
I always just put the nearest major city as location. And car model and year are important.
Another Forum I belong to has the same issue. I feel that posting members should properly introduce themselves initially ... it's only polite and respectful.
I just don't interact with other posters that...
I personally only use the camera for a double-check when I am getting very close to something. The mirrors tell me everything I need usually. The odd time the camera is handy, but I find it a bit awkward.
A standard lead-acid battery should last about 4 years. Sometimes a year or two longer. I find for things like that, when it's a bit of a new tech vehicle, that for the extra 100 to 200 bucks every 4-5 years, it's better just to get it from the dealer.
When we're driving and my wife is in the passenger seat, if a car up ahead, say 20 car lengths, lights up the brake lights whether they are slowing down or not, my wife tenses up. it's always very uncomfortable and nerve-wracking for her. We've never been in any crashes or anything like that...
Now that we're using the heater a bit or sometimes still the air conditioning, you know the weather has been really weird here lately, we're getting 70 km on a full charge. And the ice has not been coming on even with the heater or whatever on.
But when nothing else is turned on we still get 90...
I, of course, have been using the same starting procedure, but I don't shift it to B0. I just leave it on B2 which is the default start setting and the ICE still doesn't come on at all.
I figure on B2 that I'm getting a bit more Regen then on B0.
Well ... I thought it was funny.
I actually had to think about it when he first asked the question. There's so many things to learn about this vehicle.
My wife keeps forgetting to lock the d*mn thing because it's so different from dealing with a gas car for 50-60 years. (Yes, we're that old)
Hi Martin.
I think you'd probably find that if the 2024 Outlander PHEV, which gives us 75 to 95 km per battery charge, depending on the time of year, was anything like the Nissan e-Power or the new Volvo mild hybrids, then most of the people on this forum would never have bought one.
We drive...
Hey, thanks for the real info regarding the drive train on the PHEV Outlanders. We have a 2024 GT Premium and I love the way it drives with what I thot was a CVT. It's just so smooth and easy to drive and maneuver.
The only problem with knowing this now is that I'll have to tell my wife that I...
That's some very interesting info. Keep me posted Andre on what you find out after the service. I got mine on July 1st this year so it's not time for a service yet, but went I do take it in, I'll be having a quick chat with the service manager if he's in to ask him about the battery charge...
My experiences with the same car, same year, are exactly the same.
Quite impressed, considering when the info said I would get 61 kms, I was expecting about 50 kms.
It was very understated. Nice.
One of the tips I've read on this forum is to not use the fast chargers. Apparently they aren't great for the battery. Maybe try cycling it thru a few 120v charges at home 3 or 4 times. Maybe that will reset it.
Just a thot. Best of luck.
Hi all. I've been charging the battery on my 2024 Outlander PHEV to only 80 or 90% as that's what I've read is good for the battery. What the battery registers when I put it on charge is anywhere between almost zero, up to 30%.
This was the general information that I have gleaned from research...
That sounds like a really good time. It's so nice to get to the warmth for an extended period of time.
We have a friend who used to go down and basically live there for six months at a time, and she's trying to figure out now, how to make that happen again. I think her financial situation has...
