What features would you like to see added to the Outlander PHEV in the future?

I would also add to this a single setting for "Trailer Mode" so that I don't have to run through a half dozen menus turning off all the settings Mitsubishi recommends like rear object detection etc. that are incompatible with the trailer, then doing it again to turn them back on once the trailer...

2025 model year: CVT, transmission, or one gear direct drive?

I think the first part is referring to the gas Outlander with CVT rather than the single gear GKN unit on the PHEV.

    Heat pump at low temperatures

This morning is 0C and I decided to remote start the heat on my 2023 to see how well it would work. Even though the car was locked, I had to relock it using the remote app before I could start the remote climate in the app (this is pretty common I find). After 10 minutes I checked the car and it...

What features would you like to see added to the Outlander PHEV in the future?

I go over toll bridges regularly and use the sunglasses holder of my 2023 SEL to hold the toll transponder. Works great.

    Outlander PHEV Sub-Zero Operation Question

Can you help me understand something. I live in Nova Scotia so don't have the same extreme cold problems you have and I have never owned an older model PHEV. I have never had a problem starting or running my 2023 in what passes for cold weather around here, so that's why I need to ask. In my...

    My Mitsubishi Connect App

Funny thing is that I was away in Japan for a while and the app would still notify me every time my wife plugged in the car at home.

    My Mitsubishi Connect App

Never a problem with the app on my iPhone 14 with my 2023 SEL. I haven't paid anything for the app yet - I think there was a period free of charge when I bought the car but don't know when it is up. I agree battery temperature would be valuable info.

    Charging port door stuck closed?

I have a constant problem with the charging door being difficult to open, dating from 2-3 months after I got my 2023. Occasionally this is because it is locked, despite the dash showing it as unlocked. Powering up the car then shutting it down again seems to solve this. But on the other hand, it...

Is Series mode really that effective compared to normal petrol car?

Even if the battery is depleted, you get the advantage of regenerative breaking in a PHEV that is wasted on a pure ICE car.

Anyone Else Experiencing a Shift Delay from Reverse to Drive

With the electric motor I find you can switch to drive while the car is still coasting in reverse (or vice versa). The car slowly stops then reverses direction. Not as predictable or safe as braking to a stop, then shifting, but something you can’t do with a geared transmission.

I need help with paying through chargehub for FLO charging stations

There is a Flo app that I find works better with their charging stations.

I need help with paying through chargehub for FLO charging stations

There is a separate Flo app that I find works better with the Flo stations.

Waiting time for the Outlander PHEV

The dealer removed the seat for me no charge and I put it in storage in case I want to reinstall it to sell the car in the future. My gas mileage is not typical since I often travel into the city and back all electric (summer only) or do long highway trips often pulling a trailer. Worst case...

Waiting time for the Outlander PHEV

In April 2023 I was driving a 2014 Subaru Forester with over 300k on it, so since wait times were a thing since COVID, I decided I had better start looking for a new car . I also felt I needed to start transitioning to electric, but with the limited infrastructure here in Nova Scotia, Canada and...

    Different tire sizes

I suspect in Wales your choice of tires is ideal for your conditions. Here in Canada the temperature gets a lot colder and we have many months of snow and ice. True winter tires are a softer rubber than other tires, which gives a better grip on very cold tarmac, but wears excessively above 7C...

    Different tire sizes

I also live in Nova Scotia, have a 2023 PHEV with 20" rims and I have Michelin winter tires on 18" rims. I bought the tires from the dealer (price was competitive) and they assured me the smaller rim size would not be an issue with the odometer etc. Just now I went outside and measured the two...

    Charge mode?

I think it has much to do with air resistance at the higher speeds too. The vehicle is not particularly aerodynamic. I find the difference in fuel consumption at lower speeds (80-90km) dramatic compared to 110km and above. If I'm to believe the guage in the car, fuel consumption is worse if I...

    Outlander PHEV Sub-Zero Operation Question

Here is Mike Mas's alternative solution that doesn't involve attaching anything to the car https://www.myoutlanderphev.com/threads/outlander-phev-in-depth-observations-mike-mas.6174/page-3#post-62994

PHEV for Australian camping, light offroad

Not that this is really matters in Australia, but subjectively I have found the Outlander to be about equal to my old Forester with Michelin winter tires for traction in deep snow, but significantly better to steer in "mud mode".
