Voice command button integration with android auto

Hi all,

Just got a MY23 and starting to play around with it. First setting I'm trying to change is the voice command button. In most cars I've driven, pressing the voice command button while android auto is running triggers android auto voice commands. In the Outlander overrides this and switches to the cars inbuilt voice command structure. Is there a way to switch this?

My wife figured it out! Short press is Mitsubishi voice command. Long press is android auto voice control.

Do a "long" press on the mic button on the steering wheel. A short press awakens the idiot built into the car; long press wakes up google

That did the trick! Is anyone using the inbuilt voice assistant? I've yet to have it understand anything I'm saying.
