hi everyone

new to my Outlander PHEV. Regarding the PHEV remote app and preheating/pre-cooling, I understand you have to set times for Timers 1 2 and 3.

What i don't understand is, what temperature do you set? e.g. if i wanted pre-heat for 10 minutes before i get in the car to drive to work in the mornings at 7am, i set Timer 1 to 650am. Heat. but no where is there a temperature setting.

any advice from experienced users out there?

thanks!

I’m not super-experienced, as I have had the car less than a week.

However, it seems to me (having used the pre-heat only 3 times so far) that it heats or cools to the temperature that was set by using the normal heater controls when you last exited the vehicle.

no temp to set, it heats at full power for the duration set. One cold evening I set it to operate whilst I was still sat in the car to see what happens. (sounds a bit daft when written like that, but i was waiting for someone) It comes on slowly, (little heat / gentle fan) then after about a minute it picks up a bit (both warmth and fan speed). Then after about 4 minutes, it goes full speed, like having the heat on full and the fan on full. And it stays like that, until either time runs out or battery gets flat. It went well beyond the previously set temp in the cabin.

Thanks. Maybe I should sit in the car for 10 minutes and set it to go on....

Hi there,
I experienced things as described. It could somehow save energy, if the car heats or cools to a given temperature.
Hopefully the next Version of the app makes it possible.
Regards, Uwe
