Hi,

I have a 2024 Phev (live in the frozen north) and got Turtle mode last week.

I called both the dealer and Mitsubishi and needless to say they were useless. The dealers advice was to not use the car when in extreme cold.

Anyways I joined the US class action but also called the lease company to complain and they took me very seriously and advised me to keep them informed of any issues.

Thanks,

Ahhhh

Now I understand why you decided to use the Username UnHappyCamper.

I also leased a 2024 Outlander PHEV GT on April 8, 2024

Love the car in the summer time as I was able to get 95 to 100 kms on a full charge in warm weather

Yep, I am Canadian and live in Winnipeg Manitoba.

Now that it is wintertime I am not at all impressed with its performance as the Heat Pump Stops working at -15'C and heat from the Engine takes more that 10 minutes to start getting warm. Most of my drives are 7 to 10 minutes long

We did get some temperatures in the -25 to -30'C a few weeks back and to state it as nicely as I can. It was brutal because, since the My Connect does not start the ICE, I had to go out in the cold to start the car, turn on the heater full blast and wait indoors for at least 10 minutes before I could start driving and even after driving 10 minutes the interior heat only reached 0'C

There are rumours that Mitsubishi is to release a repair for allowing us to start the ICE Remotely once temp reaches -10'C. Have to wait and see if that ever happens.

But since the Batteg Heater is missing from the Battery Pack the Battery is not able to get warmed up so the Battery Efficiency is greatly reduced.

Why? Because when we drive in the city or the Highway, the ICE runs to charge the Battery but it is the Main Battery that drives the Wheels and the Battery is not warmed at all when the ICE is running because it has noway to heat up the Battery.

So as much as I may appreciate the ability to remote start the car, this will not warm up the Battery if the Battery is already full.

The solution we need is for Mitsubishi to replace the Main Battery with one that has an embedded Battery Heater like they have in the 2022 and older PHEVs

I also joined the Class Action Lawsuit against Mitdubishi in Canada

Honestly I do not see this going anywhere.

So I may be replacing my 2024 for a previous 2022 or just wait untill I get my Aptera in 2026.

Perhaps I should change my user name to "Not impressed with Mitsubishi anymore"

That would indeed be a funny user name. :)

You were right to join the class action suit. I like the car also but this is driving me mad.

I cannot leave the car at an airport or anywhere overnight.
