I have just bought an Outlander PHEV and I cannot get the tailgate to open from the smart key?
It opens fine if I push the button on the tailgate or in the car but just not on the smart key
Can anyone help please?

Are you pressing the button on the keyfob twice?

There is a little push button, very low in the center console, that allows you to disable the feature. Is it in the correct position?

Wow. 2 years I've had this motor, didn't know you could do this! Can you open the tailgate from within the car?

Yep, push the "Tailgate open" button for about 2 seconds. First on the left, on the bottom row of buttons to the right of the steering column (on RHD car).
