Just obtained an outlander for a test day or two. The car we have has manual set height adjustment, but if we buy we will probably get the higher spec with electric height adjustment. Can anyone tell me whether the two systems have the same range of height adjustment?

The electric seat is more adjustable. I was unable to find a good seating position in the manual seat. Try out the different seats at the dealer before purcase.

That does not sound good. :(
I have recently ordered a GX3h with manual seats, but drove a GX4h with electric seats. The salesman told me that the adjustment range was the same between the 2 models. :?

The major difference is the bottom seat that can be tilted forwards and backwards on the electrical seat. The manual seat can only be adjusted up and down, not tilted.

Thanks Fragge,

I sat in a 4h a few weeks ago (it had just landed at the dealer and was still wrapped in plastic) which had the electric seat, the car I have for an extended test drive has the manual seat, I can get comfy, but my wife felt it could do with going a little higher to be properly comfy (she is quite short). It is likely we would sign up for the 4h in preference to the 3h in any case

I'm in the UK and just got the GX4h. As mentioned earlier the drivers seat is electric and adjusts for height, tilt etc. However, the passenger seat adjusts forward and back only not height. Ideally, the wife would like it to go higher but height is fixed. No doubt a later version will fix this!
