There doesn't appear to be a S46B24L(S) in the whole of the UK!

In case it helps, ring around Toyota dealers for a "28800-AZC35", it's identical in every way other than thinner terminals (£3 shim adaptors to pack out the terminals can be bought at car parts places).

Got me back on the road within hours.

My Outlander went dead when I stopped somewhere with a full trailer attached.
NOCO charger brought it to life but the dreaded EV message didn't go.
Call-out guy (RAC) ran some tests that I couldn't follow and said that the Aux battery was shot and I could use a temp regular battery to get home.
Its the original battery in a 9 year old car so I thought this may well be the case.
Can't get a Yuasa at a reasonable price so based on this chat I've ordered the revered yellow top Optima recommended by Tayna.

Question is: do I need to reprogram after I've changed the battery. Call-out guy said I had to, but this will be hassle as I would guess my TopScan scanner won't be able to do this.

I don't think reprogramming will be needed except for folding rearview mirrors or other features that are adjustable on the Dash Menu screen.

Changing the battery on mine caused no issues or a need to reset anything.

When I was messing about fitting hard-wired USB power outlets for the dashcams and other gear I'd pulled fuses and when powering up got EV and other messages while I had fuses out. They cleared OK but I did use the BT-OBD with an app on the phone (EOBD Facile IIRC) to clear what codes it could read. Not had any issues from doing that and no report of errors when it went in for service.

A 12 volt portable jump starter connected to the fuse box under the hood would maintain your 12 volt system and programming while you swap the battery. Keep in mind the positive battery post will have voltage when you take it off the battery so don't let it ground out.
