After a recent 'wash and brush up' (using a local 'hand wash' operation), I notice that the scene shown in my rear view camera has changed. It's now pointing lower down, so when I back up to my garage it only shows the bottom half of the door and a small part of the car bodywork is visible. I'm not complaining, it may be a slightly better view for my purposes, but I wonder how it was possibly done. Can you take off the protective cover and adjust the camera angle - has anyone tried this? There's nothing visibly changed externally that I can see.

I noticed today on 2018 (NZ) model, that both front and rear cameras are showing a wider view like a fisheye lens would. Rear now shows the left end of the number plate and the front shows the gloss black strip below the camera and the views are distorted with noticable curve top and bottom. The top down surround view and side view in split screen mode seem normal.

I'm guessing it's some kind of video processing software issue and what i'm seeing is the camera's native output.

Any clues?

There is a hidden 'service' menu, in vehicles fitted with the MMCS computer screen.

That allows you to adjust the parking guidelines in the video feed.

There may be other camera functions in there.
