Hi,
Picked up my black GX3h on tuesday and trying to fathom what the best solution is regarding a dog cage / crate for my weimeraner and viszla. Dont really want to be spending £400+ on dog cage because im a tight a*sed yorkshiremun. :p

I have measured the space for a dog cage as follows....(so its not a very snug fit... to avoid rub marks)
38 inch wide between plastic arch's.
36 inch long bottom measurement from the rear seats to the bottom of the tailgate. (with retractable boot cover taken out)
19 inch from roof above rear seats to the start of the slope where the boot hatch meets.
29 inch from the floor to the roof seatbelt.

I've seen this one but it looks like parcel shelf bit is still fitted in the picture and doesn't use all the room available...meaning less room for my dogs.

The question i have for you all is....do you think this one would fit ? If my measurements are correct... i think it could be bang on the money! :D

I just had the dog guard fitted at time of delivery. Good fit and leaves whole of boot available

Well, as you are in the U.K., you have the advantage of the DSR - Distance Selling Regulations. The DSR Regulations state that consumers have the right to what is commonly referred to as a 7 day cooling-off period. During this time the consumer is entitled to examine the goods as they might do in a shop. If they change their mind, the consumer is allowed to cancel the purchase and receive a full refund within 30 days, making the goods available to be ‘restored’ to the supplier. If agreed before the purchase, the consumer might be asked to foot the return postage charge. However if the goods were deemed faulty, having been kept in good condition by the consumer, then the supplier must offer a replacement, repair or even compensation.

Sellers cannot impose or require a "restocking" fee and you are also entitle to open any packaging so sellers are not allowed to refuse to accept a return if the packaging has been opened. Also PAY BY CREDIT CARD as anything over £100 also have additional rights that the credit card company have to accept.

3.58 Consumers are under a duty to take reasonable care of the goods while in their possession as discussed in paragraph 3.44. The DSRs allow consumers to examine goods they have ordered as they would in a shop. If that requires opening the packaging and trying out the goods then they have not breached their duty to take reasonable care of the goods. In these circumstances you cannot insist that consumers return the goods as new or in their original packaging. You may ask consumers to return goods with the original packaging, but you cannot insist on this. In the case of goods such as earrings that have hygiene seals, you may require consumers to exercise reasonable care by not removing the seals when examining them.

Hi there, as the owner of a new PHEV (5 weeks now) and two dogs I put our dog crate from the previous SAAB estate in and it fitted fine, no issue there. However, the noise of it rattling in the otherwise eerily quiet beast disconcerted me so much that I ended up getting a dog guard! The reason I did not opt for a custom fit a the time was that we liked the flexibility of the crate and thought we could just carry on using it. The dog guard we got was easy to 'retro fit', cheap (£50) in case we don't like it and can be quickly and easily removed if we need to fold down the seat etc. So far we've been happy with the new arrangement, unlike one of our dogs who is hell bent on trying to get into the car which was never an option in the crate! I don't know how easy the Mitsubishi one is to fit post delivery and how easy it is to remove and refit in the event that we need that flexibility, which is what we liked about the crate - the noise just drove me mad! this is the one we got and the suppliers were fantastic.http://www.roofbox.co.uk/scripts/rb...9xxQKuI4M}.Tr~Lf4z~Ww0k8OGecuIKyTNzD1LarJ}.ZS

So am I  but have always had Lintran for our 2 Boxers .
They are great quality easy to clean and keep all the crap & dirt inside the box (unlike a crate)

Had our first one for 5 years ( 3 different cars) and still sold it for £150.
Had to get a slightly smaller one when I downsized to a Freelander , but that now fits Outlander just fine :D

You can even turn up at their factory near Lincoln and check out what fits best if you are unsure which model will fit.
Always found them very helpful

They turn up on ebay on a regular basis ;)
