Hi Everyone. I have just taken our new caravan for a weekend away. It is clear the Outlander didn’t charge the caravan battery during the journey to and from the vacation location, based on the unchanged discharged state of the battery before and after each of these 110 km journeys. A Victron BMS system is installed in the caravan which in all other respects appears to be functioning properly. Charging should be occurring through an installed Anderson plug connection. How can I check if the Anderson plug is 'live' during a journey and presumably isolate the problem to the Outlander or the caravan? Thanks for any advice given.

does the Caravan Victron BMS support smart alternators I tow an Avan 499 with a Projecta BMS and it works fine. The projecta displays the Car battery voltage on a display in the Van. I also built a ATEM power based BMS for an auxiliary battery to run a 45 litre fridge and both work from the PHev alternator. The best way is to buy a simple (cheap) multimeter for and Auto shop. you can buy and Anderson connector power/voltage meter. What model Victron do you have?
