I live in the country and the phev is well suited to this - it's a 4wd for winter roads with a big boot for the dog and most of the time I run on battery but have petrol if I need it - parking the phev in the city is a challenge so If I lived in the city I'd buy a Nissan leaf - that's a city car imho

I never considered the Shogun because I thought it was too big for my needs - I downsized from Discovery/Range Rover Sports recently and the phev was cheaper than Discovery Sport as well as greener - if I'd seen how cheap the Shogun was I may not of bought the phev purely on cost - conscience is another matter - how much I'm willing to spend for that next time we'll see

This sort of car is not known as a "Chelsea Tractor" for no reason - you need a big car, with a big boot to do the school run with their friends, sports gear and the muscle to take on the all the other road users - certainly in Central London
