Mysterious beeping

Well that "fix" didn't fix after all.

Definite fix was:

The "gear lever" wasn't always springing back to it's rest position after selecting Forwards.

So whenever the car starts beeping I give the knob a gentle nudge and it springs back on it's own.

Is there some lubrication required ?

4 days ago I started having one long beep followed by two short high pitch beeps. when driving it keeps happening.. when turning off the front parking sensors, the beeps disappear...
still getting it on starting the car...
Yes I agree it might be the parking sensors

The same problem has started on our 2014 PHEV

A long beep followed by two short beeps on start-up, and also every time we stop and restart - say at a junction

They come from the area of the audio/nav console, and I can turn it off by turning off the front parking sensors but it's annoying

Did you manage to solve it?
