I have a Japan import 2018 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV and today (after not so much cold, but Irish cold night) the passenger mirror would not fold by itself when closing the car.
When I use my hand to slightly help it to fold (while motor can be heard to still operating even after folding manually), it will unfold nicely when opening the car and seems to be nicely locked in when unfolded, but it wont fold back again when closing the car (and yes, can hear motor keeps trying to fold it for a longer while).
I was afraid it will start to fail sooner or later so I have tried to find an option to disable auto folding in the past, but I have no Mitsubishi console, so I have no settings for it available.
Anyway, anyone knows some fix for it, has some sort of disassembling / fixing guide? Also, should I try to spray WD40?
EDIT: Attaching short video of the issue
