Increase Battery Pack

Hi all PHEV lovers. Just love the magic that the PHEV and all EVs provide when you pull away.

Anybody heard of anyone trying to hack a bigger battery pack and hence extend the EV range?

I saw a YouTube video showing someone who added an Increased Battery Pack. The person in the video said he got the battery pack from China, not sure I want to spend a lot of money on such a integral part of the car that's not genuine Mitsubishi. In the video it did increase the range, I would have liked to see more videos to see how the car performed a few weeks later.

They have certainly done this with the Prius - extra battery pack in boot - in US but unfortunately the link I had is now dead
