We have an issue with the heating of the Outlander. In the first kilometers of the trip we do get some heating, however this stops after 5K or so even when there is still energy in the batteries. The engine reaches normal temperature.
I would not suspect the heater-pump as we do get heat in the beginning. When I pinch the tubes I feel coolant running.
I tried to clean the in-line filter, but there was none. Probably removed by some mechanic before we bought the car.
The 4-way valve could be suspect too, but the hoses are almost impossible to pry off. It looks like the 2 tubes to the heater have some quick-links but I would like some advice on how to loosen these.
