Hi everyone, I’m hoping someone can help me out here. I have a 2019 Mitsubishi Outlander Sports model, and I’m having issues with the heating system. It works fine for a while, heating up as expected, but then it starts blowing cold air and eventually stops heating altogether. This becomes a major issue when the temperature drops to zero or below. Has anyone experienced something similar or knows what might be causing this? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I do not and have never driven one of these but should work like most ICE Vehicles.

These are possible causes

1) Low antifreeze level. - remove the Radiator cap (cold engine) if low, add Antifreeze. Reapply Cap

2) Air in the System - Remove radiator cap, start Car, turn heat on full blast, watch the fluid in the radiator for bubbling. Continue running car til bubbles stop.

3) Faulty Radiator Thermostat - find hoses that enter the fire wall. Hold the hot hose and continue running car with full heat and Full fan. If the temperature of the hose starts to cool then it may be a faulty thermostat.

If none of these suggestions correct the problem then a trip to the Dealership may be your next step.

Good luck.

Do a search, there are numerous issues with heating systems on these including valve failure, pump failure and casting sand clogging up the system
