Found a good torch that fits in footwell bracket

My 2014 has it, on the left side.

Indeed - I seem to remember the consensus from 10 years ago is that it is for an umbrella - very popular in Japan (where, of course, they drive on the correct side of the road). So it is for the benefit of the passenger!

Sticking a torch there was just about the first thing I did after driving home from the dealer, more than four years ago. I assumed it was for a flare since I found one in a previous ex Japan vehicle, I guess someone forgot to remove it

I suspect the weblink now points to a different flashlight, as the original post here talks about a torch costing £2, while the link goes to a £32 torch.
If anyone has an up-to-date link for a suitable torch that fits into the slot, I'd love to see it
