Cracked mirror sun visor

Hello, my friends 2022 outlander has a cracked mirror on the driver's side sun visor (vanity mirror) Mitsubishi quoted 400 to replace it, my question is can I pop the whole plastic case out, if I can do that I'll just cut a mirror to size and put it back in, but I gave it a gentle pry and it didn't want to budge. Anyone happen to know?

Thanks yeah I saw that one but that has screws holding it in. I ended up using a trim removal tool and popped it off there are 4 clips holding it in. Bought a mirror for $2 at the dollar shop and cut it to size to replace it

Yes I saw those I did see some YouTube reviews though the flap is loose and didn't trigger the light well either, probably a good option if you are about to flog the car off

How can the mirror crack in the first place?? Too much vibration? I had never seen a cracked sun visor's mirror in my life!

The chair was tilted forward then moved forward the headrest made contact with the sun visor and cracked it
