I'm really really tempted with this:

Vehicle Details
Make MITSUBISHI
Range OUTLANDER
Model OUTLANDER ESTATE
Fuel Petrol
Derivative 2.0 PHEV 5hs 5dr Auto
Colour Special pearl - Ruby black
Options Special pearl - Ruby black~Premium
nappa leather - Claret red
Contract
Mileage
15000 per annum

Oooh should I....?

After 3 months, 2200 miles and just 50 litres of fuel, I've not had a single regret myself.... but I'm pretty much the ideal user for this car with an 18-mile commute each way and free EV charging at work. I was a bit worried that the outlander couldn't fill the shoes of my old 7-seater Toyota van, but the outlander coped admirably a couple of weeks ago fetching a 7-ft tall christmas tree with four passengers in the car at the time. It's a great vehicle as long as you don't mind the dated multimedia setup (which I don't mind as I never use it anyway). The ruby-black looks superb when the sunlight hits if from the right angle, and the claret leather looks great in person (far better than it looks in any photos)

Assuming you've done the analysis on your driving needs vs the car's characteristics, then it's a clear yes. We were saying as we wafted into the village this evening what a great car it is. I'll be reminded of that as I turn on the defrost while I eat breakfast tomorrow morning.

I think I've had mine for about 18 months now, and I still get a little thrill every time I get in.

Friends are still raving about it, and people are often asking for rides.

Bear in mind that I've switched from a top of the range hot hatch and I haven't missed the old car for a second.

:D

Thanks.

I've looked at my driving, mpg and considered all the costs....then thought stuff it, I want one.

I am not going to get over excited about squeezing high mpg out of it. I'll be putting the heater and heated seats on when it's cold. I just like the idea of having a PHEV while it's still new technology.

Sort of off sets my TVR which gives me single figure mpg on a spirited drive :)

We became really excited when we "discovered" that there was a hybrid that could tow our caravan :ugeek:

We are about to enter our dotage (code for my wife is about to retire...something I did a few years ago :D ) and are looking forward to many trips with our 1470kg caravan. However, our day-to-day use will be short distance stuff.

We feel we can now release our inner "Swampy" and get a capable towcar whilst avoiding that nasty diesel stuff (which drives our current, aptly named, Superb)

Opinions always welcome - no guarantee we'll listen

Mine is 2016 April new, 4h ,12000 miles now metallic Brown . But I envy your 5hs Ruby black. You will enjoy it everyday . My commute is 28 miles round trip and I do 85 - 95 % EV every day in winter and 100 % in summer. Very happy. Get Glasscoat very good for paint
