Hi, I spent the last 1.5 hours researching this so I thought I would share what I learned for later travelers.

I am interested in using the 13 kWh EV battery in my 2019 Outlander SEL to power my fridge, etc during increasingly common grid outages: https://www.washingtonpost.com/business/2021/10/24/climate-change-power-outages/

The GT trim package comes with the 1500 watt AC power supply switch and 2 outlets (pp. 5-198+ in the owners manual), but unfortunately the SEL trim package does not. I talked to several part departments at Mitsubishi dealers in the US and they all said that there is no part available for order to retrofit the SEL. Apparently the AC power supply has to be installed at the time of manufacture.

The only feasible (and safe) way to get power out of the EV battery is via the ChadeMo charging port. Then you need an inverter for AC power. These are available for $3k. PS Ford Charges more than this for the hardware to get power out of the F-150 lightning: https://electrek.co/2022/05/02/ford-f-150-lightning-electric-pickup-needs-a-4000-home-device-use-backup-power/

The Nissan Leaf has the same ChadeMo charger. Search for V2H Chademo inverter and some options will come up.
Be well.

Thanks for posting Jaapv.
This looks like typical corporate greenwashing: lots of expensive animation but no hardware or policy to back it up.
It anyone has suggestions for 120v power inverter for North America, I would love to see some options.
