    Outlander PHEV Sub-Zero Operation Question

Some owners of the 2024 Oulander PHEVs are starting to receive these letters from Mitsubishi What a waste of Paper and Postage. Mitsubishi must know that the operating range of the Lithium-Ion Batteries is between -20'C to 60'C so their failure to add a Battery Heater to the Battery Pack is...

    the "B" position

What vehicle are you driving. I have own a 2028, 2022 and now a 2024 and I have never experienced the car moving fast. Place tge ca car in R and car moves slowly, if at an incline just light press the brake Pedal. Same Aries to D or B0. No difference on initial motion.

    Outlander PHEV Sub-Zero Operation Question

I really hope so. Now let us hope they arrive when the Temperature drops to -30'C Currently in Winnioeg we have been seeing temperatures of +2'C to -8'C, which has unnaturally warmer than normal. Ee did have temperatures in tge -30'Cs 2 weeks ago.

    the "B" position

Yes I feel that driving in B0 is more efficient when traffic allows it.

    the "B" position

On my 2024 and imagine tge 2023 and 2025 to get the best efficiency in city driving I use B0 so that zi can get the best EV Range In EV Mode. I use the left paddle to slow down gradually by using B1 and B2. But if my Main Battery has more than 55% State of Charge, paddling to B3 or higher...

    Engine oil change frequency

When I had my 2018 I was usually 2 to 3 months late in changing oil. On the 2022 because the ICE ran much more often I would go to dealer for the oil change 1 to 2 months late. No issues But now with my 2024 the ICE kicks in a lot more often at temperatures lower than 0'C even after I turn...

    Engine oil change frequency

Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV sold in Canada require more frequent oil changes which is absolute nonsense if Synthetic Oil is used. Unfortunately for Warranty purposes, best to try to follow the guide lines. When I had my 2018 I was usually 2 to 3 months late in changing oil.

PHEV system fault service required (warning)

Sorry to hear that you are experiencing these problems on your brand new 2025. Yes it does sound like a Cold Weather issue I think it is as a result of the new software. Please check the Battery Temperature Screen. If the Bar is to the left of the left Vertical white line, issue is probably...

Discussion on how much the Battery Heats up while Charging

Just to add I was able to drive 7 kms on EV Mode. So at the Battery Temperature shown above, EV Mode worked fine. The Heat Oump also worked and after a 15 minute drive tge vent Temperature reached a balmy 20'C, Cab Interior was 0'C at ghe end of my drive.

Discussion on how much the Battery Heats up while Charging

Your 2019 as well as all 2022 and older models do have a Battery Heater in the Battery Pack so tge Battery Thermal Management System works well, so heating of tge battery is not an issue. The 2023 to 2025 Models no longer have a Battery Heater in the Battery Pack so these modelscare not AZ...

Discussion on how much the Battery Heats up while Charging

Hoping tgat this Thread can used to share some information on how much Battery Heating occurs while charging. I have 2024 Outlander PHEV 20kWh and since the 2023 to 2025 Models no longer have a Battery Heater, many of us are wondering if charging the Battery will warm it enough go prevent the...

    Outlander PHEV Sub-Zero Operation Question

Thanks for the photo Dave. 49km on a full Charge at -13'C is not too bad. Should be dropping to about 40kms range as the Temperatures stays below -20'C but unfortunately the EV Mode will not be available at these temperufures but at least we can use our Ceramic Heaters to help warm up the car...

    My Mitsubishi Connect App

The App stopped displaying any Tire Pressure for at least 2 weeks now. Not even in kpas. I have reported this issue to the Supoort Team. Also requested that they add a Battery Temperature Segment and most importantly, a way to remotely Start the ICE. I am not holding my breath on the last 2...

    Outlander PHEV Sub-Zero Operation Question

I have checked the Battery Temperature in the car as it is charging. Once the tempturature is lower than -15'C even while Charging the Bar gauge temperature barely moves when using Level 1. At Level 2 charging the gauge does increase a bit but at -20'C I see little to no temp increase and...

    Outlander PHEV Sub-Zero Operation Question

Most Small Claims Courts are capped at between $5,000 and $10,000 anywhere in Canada, not sure of the cap limit in any of the 50 States of the USA. Edit: Just found out that as of Jan 1 2025. The maximum Small Claims Court Limit will $20,000 Much to low for the cost of our cars at $60,000 plus

    Outlander PHEV Sub-Zero Operation Question

Really sad that this Software upgrade has done nothing to improve the operation of the 2023 to 2025 Outlander PHEV As you have noted the Heat Pump is not able to keep the Cab very warm. I found that on my 2024, when the outside Temp is -12'C or so, the vent Air Temp barely reaches 20'C At...
