    PHEV Watchdog for all.

    How about Huawei Honor 7?

    iCarsoft i620 with PHEV Watchdog

Thanks for the suggestion - but I don't trust FaceBook. I have been messing a bit more today and managed to get the thing to work. Poor contacts, somewhere, perhaps. Lights are now a-twinkling, and I have some interesting figures to digest!

    iCarsoft i620 with PHEV Watchdog

I purchased an iCarsoft i620 Bluetooth OBDI interface dongle to use with the PHEV Watchdog app. I managed to pair it with my Android (pie) phone but don’t seem to get any data from it. Is there a step missing? There are no lights showing on the dongle at any time. This seems curious because I’d...

    It's here joined the club

Welcome! Mine had only 6 miles on the clock, six days ago. The manual takes some reading through - good luck!

    Mains ‘control box’?

Thanks, Ray. That makes sense. I was hoping that the MY19 might take more than 16A. It hardly seems worthwhile getting a 7kW point installed for such a marginal increase.

    Mains ‘control box’?

Well, I’ve just got my PHEV and the handover was less than informative so I guess I’ll just have to work my way through the handbook, slowly, to discover what I’ve got. My first question concerns the ‘brick’ that is attached to the mains charging cable that comes with the car: What is it...

    Battery pack replacement

I was told "about £5k" for a new battery pack but they've "not fitted one yet".

    Battery pack replacement

I think you ask a good question, but are ahead of the game. The batteries are guaranteed to keep at least 70% of charge after 8 years. I think they came out in 2013, so are just not old enough to be suffering, yet. Even after 8 years, there should be capacity left in the batteries to do enough...

    Using Mostly petrol in winter..

As far as I recall, the heated screen appeared on MY18 cars in the UK, when they dropped the sun roof.

    Newbie question, please be kind!

When it comes to batteries, Nigel, I think there’s a lot of opinion bounded around and repeated so much that it often becomes presented as fact. I cannot answer the questions you raise with any authority but agree with the above posts. I believe that, rather than keep a Lithium cell in a fully...

Keep your keys in a tin box!

I think the scanner has to be in close proximity to the fob if it is to receive communications. If you keep the fob with you and take it upstairs at night, that should be beyond their "reach". Leaving it in the hall is not such a good idea!

Keep your keys in a tin box!

I'm trusting that they wouldn't want to nick an Outlander! :o

    Old SatNav in new model?

Go for a MY17 one, pre April17. Then I think you'll have what you want with zero RFL.

What can be done with CarPlay?

Which USB socket is being connected to? I expect that some (if you have more than one) are for charging only and are not connected to the head unit.

To consume old fuel, refuel 15L or more...

Unless the tank is emptied from time to time, there will always be an element of stale fuel present. You simply dilute the concentration of it by adding fresh. I guess Mitsubishi reckon that adding at least 15L every three months will maintain any stale content at a workable level.

    Who are you?

This stuff ought to be part of the user profile. 1. Owner from Nov 2018 2. Model 4HS MY19 3. Facelift 4. What attracted you to the car initially = range + towbar 5. Location Birmingham, UK 6. Occupation retired Project Engineer (doing as little as possible) 7. Experience of EV Kalkhoff and...

    Blind Spot Warning (BWS) Fault

I think I read (or it may have been a dream) that BWS is achieved by radar. If that's correct, cleaning the cameras won'y do much for you. No idea where the sensors might be.

What can be done with CarPlay?

Disappointing, indeed! I'm expecting a new car very soon, now wondering what it takes to claim something "unfit for purpose". I thought the move to CarPlay/AndroidAuto was supposed to be an improvement?

New Deal Between Mitsubishi and Google

A retrofit might be possible if it's software. Google would be keen to gain as big a market as possible. I trust Apple (a little) more than Google. If they don't gain revenue from you directly, they'll need to do so in some other way to recover their investment. I'm happy to pay for maps, rather...
