Wifi password

Having upgraded my iPhone, I have to pair it to my car. I had no problem establishing the Bluetooth link but I can't even get to first base with the App. When I select the car wifi address (name), it asks me for a password. I know this is supposed to be on a card but, tho' I have found the card with a square 'barcode' on it, the eight digit number which it bears seems not to be the password. Can anyone help?

Could someone have changed it? I used the details on that card and it worked fine - at least it did once I realised that the SSID is case sensitive - I always thought they were not!

How odd. I tried it again just now and the password was accepted. Now all I have to do is go through the fob-clicking race to pair my App.
