Why forced to change my password with 10 character at least!?
That's just an discussion forum not an banking institution!

I can't speak for the admins, but...

I believe we've had issues with old accounts being taken over by spammers.

A password security feature was added recently.
If your password was on a compromised database this s/w will know it and ask you to change your password. It is not compromised on the forum. It is to keep the forum and your account safe.
Also, if you have not logged in for 2 years, you will need to update your password.
And if you are registering and you have a weak password, it will ask for a stronger password.
