Suspension problem

Hey all, picked up our 2nd Outlander at the end of April, but whenever the car goes over a speed bump or coming off ramps there is a clanking/banging noise coming from the rear suspension.

The car has been back three times to the dealership, the last time it came back with two scratches and a dent in the NS rear wing :x

They replaced the rear OS shock and spring, but the noise is still there and now seems to be coming from the NS.

Anyone else had any similar problems?

Yep, very loud bang over similar bumps - especially if both wheels hit it at the same time. I've assumed its just part of the design and have got used to it - or only hit them with one wheel

Thanks CasseClas but this is very noticeably a noise coming from outside the car. It's almost as if someone has attached a small cowbell underneath! The dealership seem to think the spring is either not seated correctly or its rubbing against somewhere on the inside of the wheel arch. Either way, it's very irritating.

Nothing like a cow bell more like the suspension bottoming out

There is not much clearance between the exhaust pipe and the body. The jolt from a speed bump may cause the pipe to touch the bodywork. There is not a lot of suspension travel and bumps can easily cause it to bottom out. The PHEV has been designed as a road car, so suspension travel is limited.
