Hi,
Recently my outlander broke down with a message on the dashboard saying “RBS service required”. I took it to a Mitsubishi dealership to check what the issue was and they got back to me saying, that the powertrain battery needs repairing and it will cost £4500+ as the warranty doesn’t cover it.
The car is a 2015 plate, registered on July 2015. When I was buying the car I purposely asked about the warranty and got told it would be covered for 8 years/100k miles rather than the 5 which the dealership are telling me it has, and has apparently checked with Mitsubishi about the situation.
Could anyone advise me on if anyone has had a similar issue, and if there is another way around it not to pay the price just yet if there is another fix?
