I managed to connect my phone to the car and for a few days the connection was fine. Now when I try to connect, I get the message Device cannot connect to the vehicle, possible causes, vehicle is communicating with other smart phone. Communication to vehicle has been disabled to preserve auxiliary power.

The only phone linked to the car us mine. I wonder if there is a way of switching commutation off via the car, possibly when I was playing around with the setup on the car?

Any thoughts please. Thanks Paul

There's no such option that I've found.

What kind of phone do you have? Have you checked to make sure it is connecting to the car's WiFi? If it isn't, you will get a similar error message.

It might sound silly but check to make sure Wi-Fi is turned on on your phone.

Hi,
While early days it seems that there is a tendancy for the app and car to stop talking and you need to delete the pairing on the car and app and then start the pairing again.

How to do it is here:

Kind regards,
Mark

Found the app to be absolutely awful. Deleted it after a week. Interferes with reception, doesn't work unless I'm 5ft away from the vehicle, and it's uses are minimal at best. Even the dealership said to delete it if I wasn't happy.

Deleted the app and stared again. Now connects. Bit of a gimmick.

Thanks for all your advice.

Paul

Just set up a few timers to see if it works ok (trying to be a good citizen and avoid charging at peak evening times) - what is the "full charge" slider on the app charge timer screen? Presumably it will fully charge as long as your timed period is long enough, so what does that option do?
Thanks
H

Ah! you will not think it's a gimmick in the middle of January when you can pre-heat your car without having to go out in the cold!

Hi,
This means that if the car isn't fully charged within the timer start/stop times it will continue charging until it is full anyway and ignore the stop time. As you say, if the window is large enough it won't make any difference.
Kind regards,
Mark
